Day 13 & 14 - Video

Our Assignment Brief :
Create a 30sec promo video for your Facebook Group/ Event/ Cause.

It must be strictly 30sec. Not more, not less.

Copy the raw videos from me. It contains 4 video files, about 1Gb. Chicken and I 1 -4. The video files might not make much sense to you now but they give you lots of room to create something extremely crazy and creative.

You must use the provided video files but may or may not add additional audio, graphics, video and texts, depending on the concept of your promo video.

When done, export sequence to mpeg4. (I will post detailed instructions on how to do this in a separate page.)

Today we were touching on our last assignment, Video editing.

We were tasked to create a 30 seconds sharp short video clip.

The video clip held me back for a few hours as I didnt have any inspiration and finally got down to it. This video is much about 'saving our mother earth' so I decided to put a few pictures up about our beautiful Earth that will be destroyed if we do not play our part.

Day 12 - 8Q Museum

8Q museum. This is one of the picture that I took from the gallery... I didnt quite like the way the short clip of movie that was played in a small black screen room. The plot of the situation of different races that looks down on one another is shown clearly in the movie. However, though Im still quite alright with the plot, it is the way that it was filmed.
There is only one person acting and not only that, the person cross dresses and plays in different part of the characters and that made me felt very ill. That made me walked out of the screen room.

Day 9 to 11 - Soundbooth

Our teacher, Yoke Ee told us that for those who knows how to use Adobe Soundbooth it is quite fun to use as there are special effects that can be inserted in. However though I like playing with Soundbooth the Audio and not the system in it, I have another programme that Im more comfortable with.
After much struggle with Soundbooth, I have done a few of the daily lesson assignments.

Day 7 & 8 - Illustrator

While using Adobe Illustrator for the very first few times, I found that photoshop and illustrator works in two ways. Illustrator is a programme that we need to start from the scratch to create something new.

There are many steps before creating a logo or design and though it is tough when using, I found it rather interesting and have grown more comfortably using it.

After doing the daily lesson assignment, it has boost me with a bit more of confidence as to how the system in it works or go about.

This is my final piece for the logo. Since everything that happens revolves round the earth, I have use the earth logo and made changes.

Day 5 & 6 - Photoshop

Today we had lessons about Photoshop. Inorder to understand how photoshop works & how to use it. We were tasked to create a profile picture for our Facebook Group/Cause/Event etc...
As my Facebook Cause is SOME - Save Our Mother Earth, I chose to create a super hero like character picture.
I searched the net and I found a picture of Captain Planet, Which was used to be famous cantoon between kids in the 90s. And I'm trying to replace Captain Planet's head with my own head because this is a profile picture for my cause. So I chose the photo on the left which was taken at my last year Birthady.

This is my final Piece for Image Editting, Im quite statisfied with it, it looks much more presentable. I chose to use the Earth supported by 2 hands as my pic backgroud. The previous pieces didnt turn out that nice and it looked quite out of place. I got my idea while looking at logos.

Twitter - Day 3 & 4

On the 3rd day, we were introduced to Twitter - A very good boardcast engine on web.
We had to create a Twitter account and we learnt what are Thin Tweet, Thick Tweet & AEIOU Tweet.
Thin Tweet is something with single information, while Thick Tweet is something has more than a level of information.

Day 2 - Facebook, Save Our Mother Earth (SOME)

Today is the 2st day of lesson, after introductions to each other. We are tasked to create something like Cause, Group, Event and stuffs on Facebook.
After having some brainstorm and research on the internet. I decided to work on our planet, Earth.
I find that the pollutions nowadays are getting worse and worse, althought the effects are not as obvious as getting a cut on our finger, which we will see blood and feel the pain immediately. But it is still very serious because this will affect our future generations. We may not be the one suffer from the effects but future generations like our kids, grandchildren etc...
